[Template] How to Create a Successful Email Marketing Plan in Minutes
Let’s be perfectly honest.
You know that consistency is an important part of successful email marketing.
Every year, you promise this will be the year you create (and stick to) an email marketing plan.
And every year, something comes up and your plan falls by the wayside.

But what if you had an Email Marketing Plan Template?

Sometimes good intentions aren’t enough. You need a plan to stay focused, motivated, and accountable.
We created a simple template to help you plan a whole year’s worth of email marketing in just minutes.
Download our new Email Marketing Plan Template to keep you on track in 2019.

Tip: We’ll show you how to use this worksheet and more for your business in our virtual workshop: Plan Your Email Marketing in 15 Minutes or Less.

How to use your Email Marketing Plan Template

The first page of the template lists all 12 months of the year, along with some blank spaces next to each.
Take a few minutes to jot down the important dates and holidays for your business to give yourself a big picture view of the year ahead.
Do you hold an annual summer sale? What about special promotions to boost business during the holiday season? Fill in those important dates now.
Here’s an example of what your worksheet might look like:

What about the slower months?

Take a look at the Holidays list on the next page. Are there any holidays on this list that would be a good fit for your business?
Fill in any empty months on your Email Marketing Opportunities worksheet with some of these timely holidays — like World Chocolate Day or Book Lovers Day.
You’ll now have a plan to communicate with your subscribers at least once a month.

What comes next?

Now that you know your focus for each month, you’ll want to enter the dates from your worksheet onto an actual calendar.
Check out how to use your Email Marketing Planning Calendar. We’ll provide you with advice on how to schedule your email marketing for best results.

There’s just one last thing

You don’t have to create your email marketing plan on your own.
Check out our virtual workshop: Plan Your Email Marketing in 15 Minutes or Less.
We’ll walk you through the worksheets, provide guidance on best practices, and give you a chance to ask questions.
We hope to see you there! In the meantime, leave us a comment if you have any questions about using your Email Marketing Plan Template.
